Nikon advanced biological microscopy technique workshop held at KAUST

NikonBiologicalMicroscopyWorkshop

Researchers attending a hands-on training of steremicroscope and advanced motorized microscope stages

On November 21, the Imaging and Characterization Core Lab co-hosted an advanced microscopy workshop with Nikon. The workshop attracted more than 40 researchers from KAUST and other Saudi institutions. Specialists from Nikon Singapore and Nikon Japan presented on advanced biological microscopy imaging including SIM and STORM super-resolution microscopy technology. Researchers also attended a hands-on training of a Nikon stereomicroscope and learned about the advanced motorized stage for precise control of sample X-Y movement for microscopy imaging.

This collaborative event is one in a series of workshops and seminars the Imaging and Characterization Core Lab hosts annually. The aim of these events is to keep the region’s researchers continually updated on the latest optical microscopy technology and methodology.
