Network with the Core Labs at the Materials Science and Engineering Congress

nf-litho4

Staff from the Core Labs will be attending the Materials Science and Engineering Congress (MSE) from September 27 to 29 in Darmstadt, Germany. The MSE is one of the largest English speaking Congresses in Europe with over 1400 participants expected to attend. Dr. Heiko Langner, Director of the Analytical Chemistry Core Lab and Dr. Gheorghe Iordache, Director of the Nanofabrication Core Lab will be representing KAUST and be a part of the plenary discussion during the Recruitment Event for Young Scientists.

With the acquisition of a new JEOL 100kV E-beam Lithography System and many more planned in the future, Dr. Iordache is looking for experts in the field of e-beam lithography, pulsed laser deposition (thin-films) and thermal deposition. They will work in the Class-100 Nanofabrication Cleanroom at KAUST providing service and technical expertise to the research community at KAUST and external government and industry users.

About The Nanofabrication Core Lab

The Nanofabrication Core Lab supports research in the fields of microelectronics, advanced nanostructured materials, nanotechnology and MEMS , biomedical, electronic and optical devices. This research requires for a clean environment with a strictly controlled set of parameters as the density of airborne particles, temperature and relative humidity, conditions achieved only in a Cleanroom-type facility.

The Nanofabrication Core Lab is equipped with a state-of-the-art, 2000-square-meters, class-1000 (ISO 6) Cleanroom with class-100 (ISO 5) sections. The Cleanroom is fully equipped with a wide range of equipment at the forefront of Nanotechnology, providing outstanding capabilities and a high level of versatility and support for Nanofabrication. The Nanofabrication Core Lab includes also a Thin Film lab and a Microfluidics lab, which provide additional tools to enhance optimal support for multi-disciplinary research.
